General Question

A1. What are generic drugs?

A generic drug must contain the same active ingredients which is bioequivalent of a brand name drug (the specific chemical ingredient that makes the drugs work) in strength, and dosage to the original brand-name product. The inactive ingredients are used only as additives for color, flavor, binding, or to bulk drugs.
A2. What Is the difference between a brand name and a generic medication ?

"Generic medication" is a commonly used term to identify non-brand name medications that are sold, in jurisdictions where the original manufacturer's patent protection has expired. Typically, a generic medication is a pharmaceutical equivalent to a branded medication product and has identical strength, dosage form, and concentration. Usually, generic medications are significantly less expensive than brand name medications. By law, these drugs must provide the same therapeutic effect as the brand name drug.
A3. Why do some of the medications have different names in Canada?

These are trade or brand names registered by the manufacturer. In different countries, manufacturers will often use different trade names for marketing purposes. The medications have the same bioequivalent, but may look different in shape and size and have a different trade name. For example: Prilosec and Losec (Canada), or Augmentin and Clavulin (Canada) or Aciphex and Pariet (Canada).
A4. Why are the pharmacy's prices so low? Are the prices on sale?

The United States is the only country in the world that doesn't put restrictions on what manufacturers can charge for their medications. It doesn't matter where you order from, as all brand name medications originate from the same manufacturers. New brand-name drugs are developed under a patent, giving the company the sole right to sell the drug during the patent period. During this time, a drug company charges more for a brand-name drug to recover the costs of developing the drug, which also includes research, marketing and promotion. When the patent expires, other manufacturers can begin to produce and sell generic versions of the brand-name drug.
Because these manufacturers don't have the same research and development costs, they can afford to sell their product at substantial discounts. Also, with more products in the market, there is more competition, which keeps the prices down. Because our escrow service only works with fully licensed pharmacies, you can rest assure that you will always receive genuine products.
A5. What is E-Check and how does it work? Is it safe?

An E-Check is a form of payment that deducts funds directly from your own standard checking account. E-Check services are usually managed by third party companies that interface with a number of different banks. An E-Check provides a more fraud resistant option in terms of ecommerce transactions.
